Harcourts Cooper & Co has been recognised as the number one Harcourts franchise in the world. Business owner Martin Cooper says the success is all thanks to the people of the North Shore who so generously support their business.
Cooper & Co consists of 16 offices, covering Auckland’s North Shore and Waiheke Island, and over 420 team members. The company has been operating on the North Shore since 1997, and today remains 100% locally owned.
“We came from small beginnings, with just a 3% market share. Today we are at 35% thanks to the support of our community,” Martin says.
Cooper & Co returns some of that goodwill by being the only real estate company on the North Shore to have its own designated community support division, sponsoring a variety of charities, schools, teams, organisations and events. They also have their own coffee and ice-cream truck that goes to various events, with all profits going to the community.
“Giving back to the community who support us is important to us. Our team are actively involved in our sponsorships and relish the opportunity to meet and greet past, present and future clients in a non-real estate environment.”
Cooper & Co were celebrated at the Harcourts International Awards, held in Australia earlier this week. Harcourts operates in 10 countries and has over 830 offices worldwide. Harcourts CEO Chris Kennedy says Martin, business owner Andrew North and the team at Cooper & Co set the bar for Harcourts, both in New Zealand and internationally, and are the very best within their market.
